Hello each,

Just put a deposit down on one of these babies today, hopefully pick her up in a few weeks. After 6yrs of riding GSX-R's, including RTW on a 1000, I fancied a wee change. It was down to the Tuono or the KTM 1290R Superduke, but the Tuono took it.

I've gone for the Austin Racing GP1 can, has anyone on here got one and is there anything you'd recommend I get with it?

Cheers for now,

Bruce

Welcome to the forum Bruce.
Enjoy it when it arrives & after riding it for a while, you'll see if you want any mods etc.

Hi Bruce & welcome.

I have a Austin Racing GP stubby on my 2014 V4 and its the nuts! All you need to do if u want it "proper" is remove the exhaust valve cables. Sorted!.

Enjoy your new ride.

Rob

ye disconnect flapper valve and a 15 tooth front sprocket ..proper order oh and welcome to the insane world of the v4

Does 14 abs need the sprocket mod ? Thought it had revised gearing, first three gears.

It has but still do the sprocket mod as its even better. I fitted Renthal Fatbars to mine aswell and it feels like a big fat dirtbike thru the 1st-3rd gears (the way it just lifts the front wheel) Love it. Rob

bst rims , a little more cost wise than earplugs but worth it .

edit

15 tooth sprock

cheers

Cheers for the info folks. Unfortunately I'm having nothing but problems with this bike. It's not fueling right at all, keeps stalling when I first start her, and even stalls as I approach junctions and enter roundabouts!

I've had her back to the dealership 3 times in 3 months (InMoto in Croydon) and have now just left it with them as I don't want it back until they fix it. You can't hold a constant throttle so it continually snatches and is a real pain the arse to ride. I took it down to Spain when I first got her to run riot through the Pyrenees and she was a total pig in the tight sections. Gutted as I love the noise.

Hope they get her fixed, but if not I'm straight back to a Gixxer 1000.

That's a shame :thumbdown

Hopefully they'll get your sorted and it can then be used in spring Good luck.

That is a shame mate. Well, I hope they get that sorted for you. Obviously the bike isn't meant to be like that. I've had problems with my 2014 T, mainly badly fitting plastics on the cowl and air-ducts and the usual problems with parts availability (there isn't any).

Mechanically mines been sound. Sounds like you have been real unlucky.

I have the 2014 APRC and threw a 15T on it in the first week, made a huge difference, its much better now.

Also disconnected the flapper... :)
