Aprilia Titanium Race Pipe

Brilliant as always, I've come up with an instant ultra-satisfactory solution..

Just give it to me for my B-day that's coming up in a month or so!
That would make at least four people happy: the missus, you (not being embarrassed anymore when passing old ladies), the old lady (not receiving the fatal nudge into deafness when you pass by), and ME :D

Sounds good. I've never made three women and myself happy before. No hang on, there was that time on holiday many years ago :devious

Trouble is I've had all these 'Zoners pointing out what a wimp I am for even thinking of taking that race pipe off :thatsgay.

Oh what a dilema :confused

But you'll make them happy too.. 'cause the can 'll stay within The Zone :O :laugh ;)

I feel a Poll coming on :)

A. Do I keep the pipe on and maintain my macho status and carry on terrifying the local old folk?

or

B. Make Pumpkin and the Missus happy but suffer the daily ridicule on the Zone for having the fattest and quietest pipe in RSV land?

Answers on a postcard :devious

How come ya havnt changed yours yet pumpkin? Lead by example etc?

And sprocker, you still in need of a rear seat? Its not for an inflatabe doll to perch on is it!!
Make me an offer...Since the cowl has gone on, and the foot peg brackets off, its just a lonesome life for me from now on up on this machine!!
But note im in Ireland.....But can post or something..

SMCG, there's a simple explanation: the dough has gone into the new bike + new leathers + trackdays, so no left to replace the barrel ;) :laugh

Ooooohhh exciting :devious :doug

loud is the way forward i got a blue flame minus the baffles on mine buddy and it adds another heart beat to me haaa!!

Tried the stock pipe on today so I could tidy the race pipe up a bit.

Popped the stock chip in and keep getting EFI flashing on the clocks.

Does this mean I need a new one? Are they easy to get hold of and are they expensive?

How you manage to damage the can by the bike falling of its side stand? The can's on the right?

Anyway, I bought mine which was mint, but didn't have any documentation with it for £150 in January so around that, maybe less as it's scuffed.

I looked after that for years for you BH, glad you like it:thumbup

It's awesome!!

Needs a re-pack according to the dyno though.:confused When was it last done?

I used it for about 8 months after it was repacked, all mileage on the road not the track, bit surprised it needs it already, tiz an easy and cheap job though BH:thumbup

Yeah, I remember you saying it was re-do quite recently. The dyno guy at southern cross said the 4k flat spot was down to the can, so I'll just get it re-packed. :dunno

I need a bit of repair to my race can so might as well get it repacked at the same time. What's involved in doing it?

One of the rivetted bands has ground down to the can. Are these bands removed for a repack?

Sorry might seem obvious questions but I'm a RSV newb and race pipe newb as well come to think of it :confused

Tantrum, yes the riveted bands are removed by drilling out the rivets and removing the link pipe cap and end cap. You need to source some new stainless rivets, some exhaust packing and a new band. Try MHP as mentioned above. You'll also need a rivet gun for stainless rivets. Might be worth you getting a price from MHP to do the job also just to compare

Does anyone have a link for MHP or email address? The one I found doesn't work :confused
