Has anyone removed the baffles from the ends of the titanium race cans?

I've got a set on my 04 factory. They don't sound very deep and v twin like, although I've just come from a duke with booming termi's.

The bike seems a bit strangled when I'm 'getting on it' . I'm goin to do a home made airbox until I can afford a hooked one and I need the co2 setting up it's cutting out at junctions and backfiring when deceleration past 4000rpm ( I just sold my co2 tester aswell !)

yes mate ive heard a few boys that have done this mod to the standard cans , sounds great but it will never sound like a V90 on full chat ...different engine!

i can help with the correct set up when im up in glasgow if you fancy it??

sounds like you ight need a remap as well TBH.... just pop bacl and check with mike if its in engine version 2.....

I've got the titanium slip-ons already ( came with the bike ). They're not straight through like most cans they have a baffle in the end.

If its not a removable baffle (which I dont think it is) then you'd need to take the can apart pretty much as in Badger's 'How To'. I doubt there's much difference in the construction.

I initially drilled out the rivets to have a look at how complicated it all apeared with a view to making internals if it looked OK.

Got stuck in with the angle grinder as per Red Lights notes and the rest is history.... didnt bother with reinserting the drilled pipe / pseudo baffle and just burble through villages to keep the dB's down - not had any issues as yet..... did tag on to the wheeltracks of a guy on an SP2 the other day followed him for a few miles and he complemented me on the sound of the Aprilia which he could hear above his own (standard and also muted) exhausts when I was behind him - he as everyone else commented it sounds excellent
