Hello again

The mrs wants to do her bike licence. She is 25 and complete novice. She is going to do a cbt soon so that will be done as well as the theory. My question is can she still do a light motorcycle licence and serve a two year restriction even though she is 25 or does she have to do DAS?

I know she could just do DAS but the thought of a big bike puts her off do she may be better on a 125 for a while?

I passed mine in the days when all of this was MUCH simpler. From what I understand there is no age limit on the Standard Test. i.e. your wife can choose either because she is > 21. So she does not have to do DAS unless she wants to, and if she does standard now she will be at the same level anyway in 2 years time.

Rob :)

That's what I was hoping for. So she could do two years on a <33bhp then with a bit of experience get a 400 or 600

Hi Greg, as ana instructor, your other arf at the age of 25 can do direct access once she has completed her cbt and theory. As she is 25 she will be able to do test and show you how to ride an rsv. Give your good **** my very best and reassure her that its all about confidence and comon sence to to mention just generally listening to the instructor.

Thanks for the reply. Can she still do the 125 or 33 bhp test if she chooses?
