On my 01 Mille R, it came with a PC111 usb and was snatchy at low speed in towns/traffic, i know realised it needs to be at about 3ish grand to keep it smooth'ish. But tge the other day, i took the pc off and it's actually a bit smoothdr overall, the power's just the same too, i thought they were supposed to wonders when rigged up.

Just to add....when i had on the laptop, the details that were allready in were

Full Akro systen (its a twin Harris systen but the same difference)

K&N with stock box

Stand eprom

I dont know why there's no difference with it off but there isnt.....anyone know what could be wrong

Is it a standard or custom map? What are the actual modifications to the fueling in the map? Have you got a screenshot of the software with the map loaded?

Do you have a standard eprom?

Rob :)

Dont know, how do I tell

As for mods to the fueling, I'd need to look and know what I'm looking at

Dont know how to do a screen shot

I doubt I'll be doing anything today though as it's raining and it's outside

You are looking for numbers in the middle section of the pc3 software screen that modify the standard fueling. 0 means no change to standard.

Get the stuff on screen and press the printscreen button. You can then paste the image of what's on screen into whatever image editing program you use and then display it here.

Ok Rob thanks....I'l do it when it stops raining (might not be today though)

PC III is over-publicized and over-rated. The ' R ' chip on second map works very well.

I have the pre and post pc3 mapping dyno graphs for my bike which show the difference in rwhp and torque. They show overall increases in both power and torque across the range of >5% and in some areas where the standard setup is weak, to comply with emission regulations, they show a bigger increase and a smoother delivery of power and torque.

That's an opinion, but any off the shelf chip will be a compromise. Remember the cylinders will need mapping individually, a well set up PC can do that. And there's the key, setting it up to suit the bike/mods. My track bike fuels beautifully, the dyno graphs show a real smoothing out of the troughs in the standard set up, just like Robs.

I guess the question is 'is it worth it, for the money?'. I'm not sure I'd buy a new pc3 and pay for dyno setup, but I bought a bike where that investment has already been made by someone else, and I'm :D about that and the result!
