I dunno why, but I thought I'd share some of my biking history with you lot. I reckon these snaps will bring back some memories of similar bikes for a lot of you. Here goes...

As the forum rules are you can only post 4 photo’s at a time (and it’s not even letting me do that!), I’ll have to do it bit by bit…

1980 and no Fizzie for me, but the good old AP50 instead. 57 MPH downhill with a tailwind, brilliant!

The AP50 gave way to a GT185, my first 'proper bike'

After a bit of fettling it looked like this

And I looked cool on it at 17 years old  (Note the way my feet are firmly holding the bike still - the clutch used to drag like a *******!

Then I needed something a bit more reliable to fall off of on the way to work...

Now we're talking, a big bike at last

Aviators were fashionable then too!

Part ex'd the Honda for something with more character...

Which I wrote off, and with the insurance money bought a runaround...

And when the runaround wasn't running around, we used the 'Black Jap Rat'

After a 10 year break to buy a house, move and then have kids I became a 'Born Again Biker' with the original Triton, which by now looked like this

Needed something more reliable again so this was next

But then I needed something with a bit more character (anyone spot a recurring theme?)

But the Monster wasn't fast enough so it was replaced by this

Then came my first Aprilia, but can't believe I don't have a photo of it so here's a generic one

Then came another trip into Ducati land

Unfortunately the 999 blew up and I was getting older...

After a year I realised that biking is for fun not function, which brings us up to date...

Cheers Keef.

There have been a few more along the way, notably a Honda 750-4 which weaved like a ***** at 110 and wouldn't run in the wet but the photo's are either not good enough or non existent.

Anyway, it took me f@cking ages to upload and post this lot so I hope you lot like 'em!

crackin post min, ahm awa up tae the loft tae dig oot a heap o similar auld Kodak Instamatic pics n hae "good auld days "sesh.
