2007 rsv 1000 R not starting again

fitted new battery
engine turns over but will not start
when you 1st turn on the ignition it doesnt do that 'check' thing anymore
has anybody got any ideas

you can hear the the fuel priming
but no tach needle sweep or dash lights
just strated to check all the connections & fuses
had to take some panels off & realized how dirty they are, so taken all off for a good clean
the job list is just getting longer
 
How was it before the new battery?...how long has it been parked up ...my dash died over the winter due to moisture.....only the neutral light etc survived.
 
i use it most days
had stopped for petrol & it don,t start afterwards
battery not holding its charge
fitted new battery & now not starting
 
Check the multiplug in the rear of the clocks....whilst changing mine out I noticed that whilst the bike cranks...it simply won't start...basically the ignition circuit is routed through the clocks...no clocks = no start.

nothing on tv worth watching, so i need somethink to do in the evening
 
Did you find out what happened with this problem? Mine is doing the same. Sometimes it starts sometimes it just turns over. Took me 10 mins to get going after fueling up yesterday.
