Hi Guys,

New to the forum and needed some advice. Picked up a not running Aprilla 1000 sportbike. The guy who had it laid it down and damaged the front end a bit, instrument cluster is missing and fairing is gone. Ive been tryin to get it started, its got spark, I can hear the fuel pump relay clicking on and I tested the fuel pum and it works but it will not start. There is only 1700 miles on this bike. I did manage to briefly start it using starting fluid but that was it. Im wondering if I need the instrument cluster in order for the engine control module to communicate with the rest of the injectors etc for this to start and run right.
Any suggestions???
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum mate.

As you said you need the clocks for the Gen 2 RSV's to start, hope this helps.

Cheers

Mark

its been sitting in a garage for 4 years. Apparently the guy barely drove it and was not too much of a rider, laid it down on a gravel road etc. Thanks for the advice, not to locate an intrument cluster
