Brother, my bike starter turned and and turned. I took the starter off to inspect it. It was perfect. Relay upgrade and new MotoBatt. It did everything but start. Then with no reason it would start id, ride out and get stuck. I thought maybe it's flooding, from multiple attemps at starting. Then eventually it just stop turning all together. I recommend you, open her up. Check the sprag. There's so many components. If just one is off it could make starting difficult. The sprag is the Milles Achilles hill. Fix that and it's a reliable beast. Your bike starter is turning cause everything other than the sprag is good. The starter is reversing that's why it won't start. Believe me, I've been through all of your symptoms. Fixed sprag bike started strong everytime. I had to get use to the normalcy of it working. It was surreal man. Good luck.
