I had business down in Sussex yesterday and my RSV returned 60mpg on the motorways! Bloody good for a performance twin if you ask me. :thumbup

OK, so thats around 13.3Kms per litre..which is not too bad..what sort of cruising speeds mate?

accross Germany atr silly speeds gave better MPG then my mornig thrash to work. I was getting 120 b4 light whereas if I cane it down the backroads the light was coming on a 75!
cheers Ck

I'm pretty easy on the throttle. I normally see the light come on at about 100 miles, so imagine my surprise when the trip read 127 miles and I could only squeeze 10 litres in the tank!

yeah, its all in the right wrist,:devious
go easy and you get fairly good mpg, twist it in anger and it sups like a glaswegian

Yeah on group ride outs I think it drops down into the low 30s. Still I can live with that if the old girl keeps up with my faster mates. :D

I would check your light if i were you.
If you only managed to SQUEEZE, 10 litres in from light, that means yours runs an 8 litre reserve.

I always get 125 miles to light on, and on filling yesterday at 139 miles got 14.5 litres in, i always make sure it is always brimmed. works out to just under 44 mpg

i suspect you may have short filled it with ought realising it.

Hey Heroblob, the reserve light hadn't come on, it's just that on past experience I was expecting it to come on any minute. This is the first long run I've done since having the throttle bodies balanced etc and it's more economical since the changes. In France in May it was returning 50mpg on the long motorway stints.
