looking at going to cadwell next year in march as its £65 for the day or £125 for the weekend.
the limit is 105db. what would the mille normally with standard can? how can I make it better?
really want to do my first track day :)

Ive done cadwell a few times.
Have an achripovic on the R, as its a twin you only measure up to 4-5K so Ive always been OK.

Great track, enjoy.

Garv.
Cadwell is 'Kin awesome, you'll love it.
I did it with my Blue Flame (road legal but a bit louder than standard) on and it got through no problem, so standard can will be fine.
If it's your first track day, try and go with someone who puts the cones out to show you the turn-in points as it really helps.
Cadwell is a bleedin' long way so probably better to do both days - especially as it sounds like a cheap deal. I paid almost your weekend rate to do just one weekday day there with Rapid.
If you need the name of a good B&B, let me know and I'll find the contact details of the one we stayed at - a really nice old vicarage out in the country.

ooooooooooh trackdays....................hmmmmmmmmmm.

Once bitten you'll never look back :)

Just worried about dropping the bike :) on a tight budget to ruin the bike but alway wanted to do a track day but the cost was to high. thought £65 was a very good price.
Plus tyres, chain, fuel, fairing lol

Go easy mate..treat it as a looker for yer first one...ride to enjoy and bring home in one piece. Enjoy yer time on the track bud..as the lads say..very addictive!

Addictive! Yeah I kno what thats like. I wne to ISle of man three weeks before the TT this year for the first time. WOW. what a long weekend. Going again next year.

Fell in love with the mountain road :). Over took a police car on my zx9 doing 140 :) and he waved lol:

You ride at your pace and what you are comfortable with...........it doesnt matter who what or how others ride. Remember its an opportunity to ride your bike around a track under track conditions its NOT a race.

You'll find your RSV lovely on track as well because they just haul out of corners just however fast you want to go - not like an IL4 600 where you just have to be in the right gear for every corner just to keep it on the boil.
If you start in the novice group you should find it pretty unintimidating.

I jest get worried I would get sucked in. Does theses places normally run Novice etc groups or all as one?

I remember taking my bike down santa pod a coupl eof years ago and that go the old heart pumping lol.

There should be 3 groups (although I've never done a trackday with Hottrax)a novice group , an intermediate and a fast group.
Some times if there arnt enough they will merge the inters and fast groups, but generally the novice group will be left as is (if they have any sense and respect for novices)

Once you get into the swing it's very enjoyable - just don't let yourself get out of your comfort zone (or maybe just nibble at the upper edge of it a little more each lap). You'll be amazed at what your old girl can do on track.

but he's riding his bike !!!

Yeah I know Cadwell quite well :devious

Have a least 3 laps to warm up tyres and start at the back if you are a noobie, Then concentrate on the best lines not how fast you can go, the times will tumble if you are smooth.

Mansfield is a great corner to get those Knee sliders worn down, I wore my alpine star boots raw on the side of the chin on this corner.

Go for it.
