'08 Slipper clutch

I've been browsing around and just want to see if i can get a clear answer. Few friends of mine have gone out and got slipper clutches for their bikes. I read somewhere that in the 2k models the RSVs have them built in? Is there any truth to this statement? :confused

Hi m8 its not a true slipper clutch but has similar qualities techical term is back torque something or other ,but i always blip the throttle as i have had problems under braking at the track but i am fourteen and a half stone and no valentino rossi

It's useless, if you blip the throttle then it does'nt work at all as it works
on some kind of vaccum thingy, i think, anyway my back wheel will lock everytime
if i do not blip, stm the way to go but £700 squid, ouch!

Yeah i hear yah on the price. I just dropped 80 quid on a gear indicator cause i forget which gear i'm in so i always end up trying to go down to many gears... I've hit false neutral a few times and it scares the piss out of me. Just didn't know if it was something i should look into or not. When you say Blip the throttle you mean give it a quick rev before downshifting right? I do that on the road but that's just because i like the sound of my Beowulfs I am hitting up Snetterton tomorrow so will give it a try.

Yeah m8 give it a good hand full at the same moment you down shift do it for every gear to help with the slowing down and to let the front brake off a wee bit sooner,wi the cans it will sound the dogs danglies.....

I thought you were single you must have a crackin missus,mines well lets say she likes to have my company at the weekend(read control freak)and she defo controls the purse strings but i must admit if it was left tae me we'd be living in a caravan eatin tesco value beans every night but i would have one hell of a bike lol
