£30 Frame Bungs

Bloody nice chap to deal with ,told him mine were for a road bike & he machined out a section to clear the fairing, well recommended at that price

nice one, been looking for some of these, half decent without paying R&G prices. Now I won't have to be so paranoid abuot the stand.

Yep, got some and happy with them, good bloke - only does lowers though. Mine came with the cut-out for the fairing already done so maybe he modified the design after you bought them Vince.

sweet find... anyone got a pic with them fitted... or something similar & where they fit please !? :devious

just about see 'em here.

I got side, front, rear and bar end sliders on mine, as i'm waiting for the side stand to give up.

As long as it survives the TT, then i can get that sorted out when i get back :biggrin

Are these the ones with the threaded rod that you cut to size? I bought another set off ebay with an ally rod threaded in each end and already made the right size for the Mille forks, which is a lot neater - think they were £15 + P&P - sorry, can't find the transaction now for some reason.
Anything that keeps the forks from grinding on the tarmac would be OK though. I've also got bar end ones (R&Gs, about £15 of ebay) although mainly because my bar ends were all corroded. Have you got paddock stand bobbins on the swing arm? These should also protect it a bit in a slide.

yep... you cut down to size... but il have a butchers for the ones your on about !! :thumbup

cor... crash bobbins... crash bar ends... i might aswell wrap the hole bike in heat resistant bubble wrap... lol !! :biggrin

You need the swing arm bobbins if you're going to use a paddock stand - surprised someone hasn't put them on already - I'm not talking about the big plastic ones.

ah... got the little steel ones... thought you ment the big plastic ones for added protection !! :thumbup

ok... they arrived... very quick... but they dont seem to fit !? :dunno

are the cnc bits suppose to slip inside the frame hole where the bolts go in... as mine seem about 1mm to big... close... but not close enough to slip in... if they dont... then surely they should be quite abit bigger than the hole !? :confused

also... nothing to do with the actual mushrooms... how the hell do you get to the nuts behind the rear shock !? :biggrin

I got some of these for my mille, the engine mounting to frame bolt should be torqued to 50 nm, but this is not possble as it just squashes the plastic bung, I emailed the guy who is very helpful and he is sending another set out with a steel insert inside

If you look closely at the machined parts one is slightly bigger than the other, this is because on the rh side of the bike the hole in the frame is bigger because of an adjuster nut inside. Small one to the left and big one on the right of the bike. The nuts are 15mm I used a ring spanner with a slight crank in it just to hold the nut then you can use a 13mm socket to remove the bolt. I would use your origional nuts not the new ones because the new ones are 17mm spanner size and you struggle to get a bigger spanner in there. Also when I checked the machined parts on the lh side I had to put in a few flat washers behind it so that when in position it is nice a flat and solid

cheers Johnboy... got the cnc bit sussed thanks... then i seem to have clearance problems woth my nylon mushroom & the fairing panel... same problem that Vince had... i did state it was for a 'road bike' aswell !!

damn... i suppose i could just file it myself !!
