Hi guys just removed the battery and undertray for a clean put it back together now won't start it will start for about 1 second then stops i have reset the revs is there any thing else that needs to be reset :dunno

I switched out my battery cuz it was dead, hooked it back up, CORRECTLY. All of a sudden the tach needle is going thru the BIT check, sounds like the fuel injection is kicking in, and lights on display flash. All with out the friggin key in the ignition! Then the LED is fading out and this code...

now its got warmer i've started using it but the problem i have is when i try to start the bike it just winds over and coughs then i get a loud clunk

ok went out yesterday for the first 60miles i couldnt stop laughing then....
Stopped for a coffee come back to the bike, key in hit the starter and nothing, clocks reset, big ****..checked the voltage on the dash and 12.4v so i hit the starter again bike fired up??? and has fired up fine...
I'm getting to the end of my tether trying to find a fault. I have fault code P14 showing up on my 2004 RSV1000R. The manual states that faults begining with P aren't listed.
Does anybody know what the P codes are? :dunno

Hey well following on from another thread, the bike today wouldnt start so thought it would be the battery, got a new one and charged that up stuck it on and still wont start.
What happens is there is a click from here...
and sounds very weak trying to start.

Am i doing this right? Its a 2000 mille starting from cold. Turn on ignition, wait for fuel pump to finish priming, turn on full choke, hit the button, adjust choke to maintain 2000rpm, wait till temp gauge hits 50 degrees then turn choke off. Ride away.

bike seems to be getting worse now, not better...
found loads of badly insulated wires post alarm removal.... insulated them, ,thus stopping earthing..
bike is now turning over and sometimes back firing, others trying to fire but cutting out and sometimes starts fine.
