starter

Hi guys, Happy new year to you all. I got an optimate for xmas and fitted it the other day, but before i did i tried to turn it over and it was obviously flat and hardly turned and then just started to tick(relay operation). I charged the battery and tried again and still only got the ticking...

Out with the boys for a weekend in Whitley Bay (wild) and after a heavy Friday night was ready to set out for Holy Island on a fine sunny Sat morn. Pressed the button and all I got was very slow revolutions and a lot of clicking from the starter relay. Obviously a flat battery??? Come on lads...

is this correct... iv read you can do this with cars that have catalysts when its flooded... as when held @ full throttle... the EFI is preset not to allow fuel in... so clears the excess fuel till it finally starts !! spoke to Southern Cross guys... & the guy said this works on a 2002 RSV...

Riding along on saturday on the rsvr 2002, when engine cuts out...after 20mins of scratching me head.i found the fuse at the front,right side,had blown,labled up.(starter),do you think theres a fault,or just a weak fuse ect,go away on the bike in few weeks,so want to make sure all is well.:dunno
