Filled up at the petrol station today. Started the bike and the clocks changed from MPH to KPH, reset the trip and set the redline limiter to 6 and reset the clock to 00.00. What the f**k? All sorted now but any ideas what happened?

hello ppl. i just bought a new battery but have sometimes (randomly) problems with start on first attempt. when this happens the voltage goes down to around 9V and the clocks are reset like the battery being disconnected. could this be the starter solenoid? i had problems once with it already...

has anyone had trouble with the clocks my bike as got 12000 miles on it but for some unknown reason they have jumped to 80,000,unless someone as been in my shed and drove allover the world twice in one night i just dont know whats happend any clues.by the way its a 2002.
