Hi all, Miff here From Malton in North Yorkshire

Off to cardiff tomorrow to pick up a 1999 Mille from Cardiff (ulp!)

Advertised as needing suspension overhaul, but got a K&N, so:

1.Anything I should particularly look for on a Mille this age?
2.What's the 'airbox mod' I have heard about ? does it work with a K&N?
3.Any advice on suspension setup/mods/rebuild ?
4. Any other good tweaks ?
2. Anyone near Malton ?

I'm getting this bike as a fast road / track bike so minimalist is good, maybe a daytime MOT only

thanks in advance, hope to see you on the road /track soon.

Is that the tri colour for £1120 on ebay?
If it is he said theres no movement? it may just need setting up cos in my experience when suspension is shot its bouncy and as soft as ****.

Aye, that's the one. just got it home but not got it jacked up to have a closer look. feels like the shocker / linkage is seized.

It's a bit shabby but rides ok (for a bike with two flat tyres, LOL) scouring ebay for trackday bits already

can help you out with some track bodywork, got a couple of top fairings, side panels and belly pans to sell. can email you some pics if you like?

Check the top mount on the shock - I had a tricolour Mille, and replaced the standard rear suspension unit with an Ohlins - which is for sale incidently.

When I took the unit out, the top mount had perished almost all the way through :O and would have almost certainly have collapsed within 200 miles.

Need any fairing panels you boys ... ;)

Mint air cover inner and outer with decals in Cosmos Blue, various red side fairings with/without decals, belly pan etc ?

£250 no offers - you'll need a linkage from a later RSV as well, I had one but sold it to someone on here.

I know the guy who you have bought it off, nice bike by all accounts :)

Tom is a good guy, honest about the bike on the advert. long drive from Yorkshire to pick it up lol.

The forks are with a local bike shop for rebuild (anyone know how to set 'em up ?)

All the rear linkages seem Ok, the shock is on the workbench covered in WD40, I'm hoping it will free up.

wheels are down the tyre shop getting some BT 002 Racer streets. (great legal trackday tyres.

hoping to try it round Cadwell in a couple of weeks
