So five and a half weeks ago I took my V4 into my local dealer because it started missing 6th gear.

Gearbox was pulled and checked and parts were ordered within 2 days.

Five weeks later and all the parts have arrived exept for 5th gear and Aprilia can't even give the dealer an eta.

WTF

Thank **** it's not summer or my dummy would have been spat all the way to spagetti land already.

How can they take five ******* weeks and still not have a clue when they will have it?

There is also an RSV4 in with a similar problem. Six weeks ago his parts were ordered and guess what???? they are waiting on 5th gear for his too.

Aprilia support is absolute *****. I don't know how they get away with it.

Rant over :banghead

They could airfreight it out on UPS and it could be in the UK dealer in 2 days!

That's what pisses me off. They don't seem to give a **** that the bike has been off the road for almost 6 weeks.

Thankfully it's winter or I would be really pissed off.

Totally agree with you Rizla. ..have you taken to twitter and Facebook to copy them in and motivate/notify the public...It can speed things up mate.

Great bikes but **** service , makes you mad dont it

Love the bike mate, best I've ever had and to be honest when I eventually get it back and twist the fun handle this will all be forgotten, but customer service should never be like this.

UPDATE

COntacted my dealer today and requested that they put a rocket up Aprilias arse and tie them down to an eta for my part.

After many emails bouncing backwards and forwards Aprilia to the dealer that the earliest that I can expect to see my part in the UK is 9th Jan 2015 :kicknuts

Cnuts.

So, I have a similar thread on AF1. Ed from AF1 contacted me and asked for the part number that I need and that he would check Aprilia USA stock.

A couple of emails later and it looks like my part has been sourced and will be with me in approx 12 days :thumbup

Fcuk you Aprilia Europe and thank you to Aprilia USA.

Its a joke mate init. Its cheaper for the Italians to make parts have them shipped to America for us to buy them and have them shipped to UK then it is to buy direct in Europe Ive used AF1 alot for my winter upgrades. At least its not biking season so your not missing out.

Spot on mate.

Around £50 delivered to my door or £97 + vat from Aprilia Europe :crazy

If your still interested in the upgrades there is a guy on af1 forum with the variable velocity stacks and loom for sale. Its not in the for sale section just got talking to him because Gabro mentioned he lived close to me.

Thanks mate.

Will hang fire until I have my bike back and working

.....and that my friend, is why I'll never buy anything connected with Piaggio again.

UPDATE

Last week Ed from AF1 contacted me to say that they had the part that I needed in a warehouse in the USA.

4 Business days later and it is on it's way to Scotlandshire :thumbup
