Had a great day out at Silverstone yesterday.The crowds were down,but there was some great racing.We walked a lap of the circuit,stopping off at differant points to watch the action.Best place for viewing is the grandstand on the Becketts/Maggots complex and you can see across to the infeild Village/Wellington Straight.
To get the WSB flavour,watch at Woodcote,.....the bikes are accellerating hard here and the noise is incredible.Sadly the 'Pillas and Yamaha's were drowned out by the bellowing Dukes and the screaming BMW's.Those things make yer ears bleed.
Aprilia/Piaggio had a nice display of bikes to drool over,....including this very pretty Moto Guzzi.
They also had some Aprilia Racing clothing at good prices.Far cheaper than the stall selling all the Team clothing.An Alitalia Racing zippy was £20 cheaper.
Shame Leon Camier had an electrical failure while gaining on Laverty in 2nd place,but the other Leon managed a good 4th.Biaggi was nowhere.while Checa took the win.
In the WSS,Chas Davies looked smooth and in control at the front,...a good win.The action man tho was Gino Rea.That kid is a trier.He finished way down the order after crashing while attacking for 3rd.
Second WSB race was not as good as the first,but at least the 'Prillas were both in the top five.Again,Checa took the win and now has a huge points advantage over Biaggi.
Oh,and next time Max,..give us a wave yer miserable fookin coont!
