Wrong oil?

I rang the dealer where I bought my bike last week and asked the mechanic what oil he used in the T for me to top up with the same, despite me specifically requesting the recommended 15/50 he used putoline DX40 10w/40, what muppets they are!!!:banghead So will this harm the engine or should I use it until the next service?

If I change it is semi or fully synthetic best?

No,it will be fine.Just make sure it has'nt been overfilled.Get the engine nice and warm,...just after a ride is best.With the bike upright the oil should be halfway up the sight tube.Any more than this and it could burp the contents of the tank into yer airbox.(messy!)
I use semi synth in my bike.(Motul)

I'm running 10/40 semi in mine now & its fine. Actually get 2 mpg more since its last service & change to that oil.

A 10mile ride gets it up to temp.
