Just had the bike out of the workshop, what a f**king day! Had the forks stripped and rebuild with WP fork internals :devious plus new oil etc, Just need them setup now but I can already feel a ton of difference, they are so plush, feel like i've got 10 times more grip, feedback through the bars is better, totally different ride.

Fitted the power commander aswell, the fella I bought it off (Ed off this forum) had exactly the same setup as me, Evolutione Airbox and Aprilia factory race can, so didn't need to touch the settings, noticeable difference but you can't beat good suspension :biggrin

Best mod on the bike by far is the suspension, you don't have to ride it hard to notice the difference, if you haven't touched your suspension, should be your next mod, whats the point having all that power if you can't put it down aye?

Few pictures

Took a picture of the seat unit as you can't really see it properly on the bike.

PCIII, plug and play, took 10 mintues to fit this, easier than I thought.

how much was the WP fork internals if u dont mind me asking looking at getting mine done ?

I paid £90 + postage for them, I get abit of a discount as im in the trade, but I think retail is £105, well worth the money fella.

Sweet mate:thumbup The bike looks great. Hopefully Ill meet up with you and some other forum members at track days in the summer.

cant beat the feeling you get from getting the forks right

it's unreal!

if you think your capable of having a go yourself, you'll really appreciate whats going on inside the dampers, and then you will be able to shuffle the shims about no problem

Kev

you have enough shims to play with already inside your showa's, they just need shuffling about so the rebound is stiffer and the compression softer.

As to what extent is up to you, but i'm on my third stack configuration and each time i've gone stiffer on the rebound and softer on the comp and it's got better each time

just got to be confident enough to be sure you've assembled it all correctly otherwise you'll be in the first hedge you come to when the rebound valve falls off the damper rod:eek:

Kev

WP Proline fork springs and 5W fork oil, I can't believe how much its changed the bike, tips into corners effortlessly, all I have to do is think it!
