Im looking at buying some from a breakers, though im concerned ill end up with the same clocks as what i have, regardless to what they say they are.
If their not labelled exactly what year how do they identify them?
I got one breakers telling me hes got good clocks from a 2005 bike, mileage 2400 odd. :dowhat

You have no way of knowing unless there is a manufacture date on the clocks.
