wierd gearbox problem ???

Hi there took my clutch ( primary case ) case cover off too renew main gasket , now I have gear selection problems when the casing is bolted down , but when I loosen the casing off the gear selection is fine no problems at all wierd any ideas guys < I have perfect gear change with no casing , but once its on there gone ????

Hi, never had my cover off so not sure what you are looking at. You can take the cover off and look on the inside to see if you can see if anything as been rubbing on it once it is refitted.

this engine is a replacement I have fitted , and during carriage who knows how the gear change shaft must have took a knock as replaced it with my old one from the blown engine , and now its fixed
