Biking perfection.

ride one, if you still need to ask other peoples advice after that save you money and take up stamp collecting coz your *** worthy of a factory

(imho)

a widnae buy wan like nobs, look at the cans their aw oot o whack, lol
ah'd tak wan fir a birl, if it feels guid, buy it on the spot, nae hesitatin or ****** aboot, dinae think just buy it, an fir feck sake dinae tell yer mrs

Everybody always talks about the superior suspenders on the Factory, which is a big plus point.you can however set the non Factory version up to be almost as good. For me though, the lighter wheels are the mutts nuts, I feel a huge difference in turn in on the Factory due to the lower centrifugal forces generated by the lighter wheels, which sharpens the whole thing up.

If I were going to spend bucks on the non Factory, this is where I would put most of my dosh.

It is no coincidence that Race Teams always pay big for wheels!!!

they look miles better simples.....even if u traded yer tuoldo in for a tuono (06 >) RR ....(cost much less than factory)
them twin exhausts are just sexy as *** arent they ? :thumbup
trade it in lol

To be honest at the level of riders on here/average you wouldn't even notice the suspension apart from the placebo effect of having new.

I'd bet £5 to £50 i'd kick your arse all day on my 2003 Tuono without breaking a sweat.

Keep the bike and spend the money on trackdays in Spain/Portugal :)

Sorry to sound harsh but it's my new years resolution kicking in early ;)

Although most of this is banter... the point is pretty much true...

ive ridden both models. although i am biased i have a 05 tuoldo. keep the tuoldo lower the gearing sort the suspension and dont stop laughing.

Big John, I would say if you fancy a new bike then buy it regardless of anybody else's opinion, after all there are not many better feelings than getting a new steed. After all it is your hard earned and you need to do with it whatever is going to make you smile the most.

I would also say if you are going to get a new T then go with the Factory (regardless of how many people are faster on older machinery) simply because it is the best version of the T, they wouldn't bother making it if it wasn't and you also would not see so many "wish I got the Factory model" comments.

Some good points well made Patrick. Which makes me ask 'what exactly do we want from our bikes ?'
You absolutely can not beat the feeling of sitting on a sponner for the first time when you take it away from the dealer. If you can afford one buy one.
If you like sports performance and naked bikes with a v twin, buy a T they are excellent bikes.
I could afford a new bike so I bought one, the T was a no brainer cause I'd had Prillas previously.
When I'm out on my bike bike I don't give a **** what I look like and certainly don't give a **** if anyone thinks I ride like a ****.
Certainly not arsed if everyone keeps blastin past me, **** it don't care.
I'm out on MY bike. Doing MY thing.

See now those points, i agree with :)

Buying a Factory or whatever because you like it, 100% agreed, nothing wrong with buying bikes just because you're flush and fancy a new bike :)

Buying it because the suspension is better and you'll go faster etc, nah.

Mines a factory 55 Tuoldo . I bought it cause I like the look.
I could have bought a brand new one in blue or red but the old black ,orange and blue looked the dogs and I AM colour blind.
I don`t track day or race around (officer) and sometimes think the racing spec is wasted on me but NO!, as Nobby says MY thing, MY bike.

a had a factory rsv, wi aw the bits, the fork bottoms were cracked so when a sent tae k tech fir new wans they reset suspension tae ma weicht, an a didnae lie, a telt them i wis 13 stane lol,,,,,,point bein when it wis done a didnae notice a bit o difference tae before, noo ahm a pretty decent rider but nae track day dude, on talkin to ma neebur wha is a big time racer, he said ye'll no notice feck all unless you ken whit yer looking fir, guid point a thocht,,,, hain the best bike disnae mak ye the quickest,,,,,,, happy new year aw hoor by the way

Bit of an add on here boys. I bought that particular bike because I fell in love with it on sight as it reminds me so much of the early Rsv's. Wasn't that fussed about the Ohlins. I'll never get the absolute full benefit out of them. I went in to the dealer intending to just get a T, nearly new or new and would gladly of taken a R home, but like I said. Love at first sight.

A mean, come on Subo can sing like an angel, but you just wouldn't would ya.

If ya know what I mean ??? :dunno

Right men its beer o'clock, see ya next year:thumbup
