I see that Taz Motorcycles are already advertising the RSV4..

(Select Aprilia from the drop down box)

So who's gonna be the first person on the Rsvzone to put a deposit down?????

I might if they give me £11,750.00 trade in for my '01 Mille..:biggrin

£12,000 for the standard RSV4 or £15,000 for the Factory. That's an awfull lot of cash when you're comparing against 08 Fireblades for £7795 otr. As much as i love that RSV4 Factory, is it worth £11.5 to £12k more than my Millie R, not at those prices it's not

I understand what ya saying Legs but thats not a like for like comparison, to compare ya gotta be lookin at Ducati pricelists, in my opinion its a far superior bike to the Blade, The Duke desi in my opinion is highly overpriced for what it is but they are selling as are MV and Bennili, The V4 is faster, lighter and comes with alot of kit worth alot of money so i reckon in todays bike market it aint far off the mark with the pricetag, i do think Aprilia are puttin there eggs in one basket gettin rid of the RSV tho and will lead to disaster for the company :dunno

Hear, hear little1,so what bike you gettin next then fella...:lol:lol

little1 i agree, although as we all hope it'll be a better bike than the fireblade ( no test reports seen yet though ), the RSV4 is a direct direct competitor to an 08/09 Fireblade, new K9 GSXR, and whatever Kawasaki bring out for 09. Both V4's are high specced bikes as you say, especially the Factory.

Those are Taz's prices, who are an Aprilia dealer so it's safe to assume these are realistic. To price the standard bike 33% more than the bike's main competition and the factory 60% more might be a stab in the dark by Aprilia just to test the market but the prices to me seem very high. KTM RC8's are about £10500 but prices are dropping and Ducati 1098 are £11500 at the mo. I think RSV4 prices will drop considerably after 12 months to more of a realistic market value, of say £9000 and £11500 rrp otr's. Let's hope so

Feck me, that sounds like a load of old bollox.............:dunno

Yep I gotta agree with Little1uk I think Aprilia have got the price about right when you compare it to Ducati, MV, Benelli, KTM etc.

The RSV Factory list price is £10699 at the moment but just about every dealer is selling them for about £8.5k so I reckon give it 6 to 12months after the RSV4 is released and the prices will drop by a couple grand. Guess I'll have to wait untill 2010 before buying mine then:biggrin

On a side note I'm seriously thinking about flying out to the Milan to the bike show at the begining of November as its the only bike show that Aprilia will be showing the RSV4 at. Ryanair do flights from Stansted to Milan for £15 each way anyone else going and fancy meeting up for a beer?:thumbup

I was thinking about one. But money has tightened up a bit in the last few weeks so im sticking with the edwards for a bit longer
