just had a blast to whitby grand ride it was (on own again tho) just cant seem to find any ride out buds:confused anyhows passed a rsvr newish by the look and i believe another bol d`or just past scaling dam on the run home wondered if it was any one of the zone from local ????:eatcorn

still only got 350 on clock and ive had it since mar 08 i think they should put 48 hrs in a day just so i get time :thumbup

Chooch, put my bike in to Petites today to get fork seals and service done, should get back Mon hopefully and I think there are a few of us going out on Tuesday and Thursday night, if you fancy a run out, PM me if you youre number if you are up for it and I will keep in touch. :thumbup

Chooch it might of been me? I was coming back from Olivers Mount down the 171 yesterday about that time, the bikes got stickers on now due to a bit of a get off. I meet up with a few lads from Squires that are on the Gixerjunkies forum they are always out what ever the weather, It's a bit of trek from Jarrow but well worth it. I just got a set of 208's put on, breaks bled and suspension set up by the guys at AMR Racing in Bellerby just outside Leyburn, they are top blokes and would recomend them to anyone Simon actually races Aprilias and is a font of knowledge. Very proffesional set up the garage is spotless, it actually looks like a pit garage off the tv, they only charged me £235.00 for the tyres fitted ride in and out, brakes and suspension, and they actually talk to you and let you know what they are doing.
I might be up for a blat next weekend depending on the weather and money situation, will you be posting on here fellas??

yeh will post on here no prob
like the sound of amr .....its a nitemare to find someone and most main dealers are just in it for the cash frorm my experience ...not had the rsvr serviced yet first due soon and could do with suspension set up i beleive but ive just put 350 on so far so as u can tell i still getting used to a new bike(blade 98 b4 this)

Yeh I know all the mechanics you hear about been good with Aprilia's are down South but these guys are s**t hot, I've P and F in Redcar and to be honest I wasn't that impressed, these fellas are in a different league. It's in a converted barn complex, there not registered Aprilia dealers so they can't change the mapping but I believe anything else you want isn't a problem, they have a dyno there as well, and do they do set up exhaust systems. They have a webite www.automoto-racing.co.uk, it's the best set up I've seen and like I said very proffesional:thumbup, and a free brew machine :biggrin

mel mate lol said id post on here lol we woundnt leave u out

how long you had the bike mate?
had mine a week and arf and ive put 1000 on it already lol.
id ride with you buddy if i was closer.
i bet a few milles together make a great sound!

had it since o1 march bought it new from taz just hoping now i can get out more like i say only got 350 on clock still not had first service lol

Chooch, have you had twins before ?, if not how are you finding it.
I know you have only done 350 miles on it, this is my first twin, ive had it 6 months but not done a lot of miles on it myself (sh--e weather an all), but I hated it at first and nearly got rid, but I read some of the comments on this site and persevered, im glad I did but still not used to it yet, previous bikes, R1, VFR 800, CBR 600, the Aprilia is by far the best looking, though proving to be a bit expensive to own.
:confused, but worth it.

its my 1st twin too, coming from 2 blades and 3 r1's and i got on with it straight away, love it so much that if i was to get rid,itd deffo be for another twin.it may be slower than an r1,but funnily enough i can go so much quicker on this than i did on my r1s.

no only had blades i found it the first ride a nitemare but hadnt rode since oct and once i had a boot about and got 50 mile on her i started to grin must admit yesterday to whitby was good but on the way back i opened her and (now im not the best rider i think im progressive and safe )actually did some bikes lol but i think i need some tutition on corners ..maybe a track day or some 1 to 1 cos i know i can do it (have a high learning curve and patience lol)but saying that im prob not as bad as i think lol

the mille i find is easier to ride the quicker you go (thats my excuse anyway)
much lumpier slow round towns ect and the aching wrists dissapear once she gets goin.this bike sticks to the road like no other imo,you should try an r1,twitchy as fook and feels like the front wants to tuck under at every blummin corner lol.i found the r1 very tyre sensative too.
the old blade was another solid planted bike, handled superb on bt010's.

Think I need to change my tyres, Dunflop RRs at the moment, but only just put them on, I also have a brand new set of them waiting to go on, but they get slated on this forum.
Never had any problems with them in the past, but thats maybes cause I dont go fast enough for them to cause any problems. :biggrin

its each to their own mate,if youve no probs with em stick with em.
ive never liked dunlops back when i had 208rr and 207rr's on the r1's.
hated the front, never gave confidence, but a mate of mines just put the qualifier rr dual compounds on his gsxr750 so see how he gets on with them.
as said,i just seem to love the bridgestones, seem to suit every bike ive had them on in all weathers, the michelin 2ct's get a good press tho and the racetek mtzelers and pirellis.....
as someone said on here already,90% of the time, its in our heads about tyres, not many badly made ones these days really,i hate any fronts with a line down the middle for the reason they seem to tip in way to fast (drop in more like) like the tyres pointed.
probably in my head, but there you go.lol

youll be fine mate, just get it out of your head that someones said they dont like em or they rate em as pants.doesnt mean the tyres no good, just means they dont suit that person.give em some welly! lol

I've just put 208's on mine, didn't seem to get any feed back from the 14's that were on it when i got it. They seem to be taking a while to scrub in though, and just realised they're the f's not rr's.
