Hi Muckers .

Joined the forum a few weeks ago. I'm Aldo as you've seen already and I'm a less than helpful fud.
The longer I've had ma T the more I know aboot it, after reading a few treads and posts on the old teck site my dimwhit knowledge is accumulating.

That said this must be the worst dedicated forum I've ever been on, considereing that the (OLD DUDES) were flapping aboot it's loss. It now seems that the Tzone has very little to do with (mabikes fecked can anyone help me) ?

Prob jist me living upto ma Fud status.

Gotta keep plugging away Aldo hoping more sign up. But to be honest it is a **** set up/design and its all over the place with mad things happening every time you 'go back', 'new post' or whatever.
More of a social/piss take site at the moment with hardly anyone asking any techy questions as they go straight to the monster. [af1]. No one bothers with meet ups or seems to give a crap really. Shame.
Even I'm thinking of going awol.

I don`t mind really whats coming on but there is a lot of wasted and tastless rubbish I don`t see any point in .
I`m an oldish guy and have an open mind (very) .
Apart from that it`s not too bad and I reckon if your stuck the info will come out.
I think spelling is a red area, while we`re at it

My tyres are disapearing, they came with a nice deep tread and it seems to be disapearing. I cannot see anything on the road . Could this be a ploy to make me buy some new ones ?
 
Hmm,...I lurked around here and AF1 for info while I considered buying a T.Its a crying shame all that great info got lost with the server crash.

I think the site will recover,especially in the spring when folks start riding again.
Many bike forums start to die off a bit this time of year,....Ducati sites are mebbe the worst.
Besides,..I like the banter here,makes a refreshing change to other forums where you cant say owt imflamatory.(Once banned from ducatisti.co.uk!)

I agree there's not a whole lot of bike-related stuff going on at the mo (as Keith says, likely to do with the time of year) and it's a great shame all that accumulated knowledge on the old forum was lost, but I enjoy the banter, piss-taking, and general abuse on here, and after all we all have riding or wanting a Tuono in common, so I'll be sticking around.

Also, re: ride-outs and meet-ups, I've ridden with Bay 1472 and Windy Miller, and will be hooking up with Dave B at some point as he is down the road, so the social side of things is alive and well down here in the sunny South West.
 
Did i join at a bad time then lol, been ok with me so far, helped when i asked .....but any nonsense i will
 
It is a bit quiet on here at the mo, not all the old folk have joined up to the new site.
Having said that, I reckon the old site was often pretty quiet, and the 'open forum' always seemed to be the most used bit, as it is on here.

Whatever, I still prefer it to AF1!
 
be a shame if people start dissapearing from here cos i think we all enjoy the banter etc, and as for the lost knowledge as long as the usual reprobates ( nob, batfastard,etc etc etc ) hang around i'm sure they'll be more than happy to share their wisdom with the know nots like me !!

Mine do the same every now and then........Strange. I've never looked to see if I can find the tread anywhere jist assumed they went the same way as the wad in me pocket, disappear into thin air.
 
I joined the old site in August just after buying My Gen 2 T. I found the information provided really useful. Found out about stuff I had no idea of especially as I have only been biking for 3 years and have little techy knowledge.
Enjoyed the banter although I have not joined in as much as I should.
Happy to meet up with others for a social
Don't have anything to compare with in terms of other sites but agree the old site seemed to be more used
I will try and join in a bit more
 
Gilo....best way !!! you think i ride holigan type bikes, and am all girley, saying that tuono is not as nasty hooligan as SD so im all italian n slick now lol
 
AF1 far too busy a place wi all sorts o butt nuggets oan the go. Great resource but nae real couthy banter. At least here its focused on whit interests us. An its a great place tae **** ***** ( which ah excel at!)
 
Ah also think the folk currently oan here are already pretty wised up oan their machines so thir huznae been the need fur lots o techie questions. And onywye every one will chip in wi a straight and honest answer tae a techie query as an whin required.

So crack oan an enjoy the *****!
 
Some of the first posts alluded to not posting a lot of the techie stuff in the event that crashtd was able to salvage the auld HD. Ergo, a lot of the threads have been of a more fun and social bent rather than techie info. I have started a couple of minor tech threads to help get the ball rolling but what I know about mechanical ***** you could write on a Smartie with a grease pencil. Thanks to Paul for forwarding the tech books etc to me. Apparently, according to Dynamo, the auld site will be coming back on Sunday. I'm hoping that it will be able to be amalgamated with this site. Not a lot of real info here, but still a lot of fun. I haven't heard from crashtd in a while so I have nae idea as to where we stand. If the auld site is well and truly done, then we can start to publish stickies on this site for the brown connector and all that other fun stuff. Don't bail folks... Things always evolve.
