My chains buggered :rantwent to tension it yesterday and found some stiff links so it's time for a new one (could do without this expense right now, but needs must :roll)

So my question is what do you recommend is a good chain :dunno and while i'm at it, should i go for 16/44 sprockets ? I'm on 16/42 now.

The front sprocket is a fairly new Talon 16t....do i get a Talon rear sprocket to match or doesn't it matter what brand i use :dunno

Also wheres the best place to have it fitted around my area if any norverners are looking at this :biggrin

iris gold x ring chains are good value a lot cheaper than did and there made in spain and of good quality (not like chinese plastic metal on some cheap chains)

I use a RK 525 pitch gold chain with a rather good looking Supersprox Ally/Steel rear sprocket.(RSVR.net)
DID and Tsubaki also good chains. Cant recomend where to fit as i'm a soft southener!

i use renthal 16/supersprox 44 & did chain from rsvr
fit me own chain & sprockets

RK X-Ring Gold is good value for dollar. going to the 44 back will be a nice little improvement for acceleration Sprocker. I'm runnin' 16/44T, AFAM front & Vortex Alloy rear sprockets and its a top gearing suit... also runnin' the RK Gold but in the 520 series :thumbup

Got an EK chain fitted on mine, took them my own Supersprox rear and they do it while you wait if booked in..Jordan Bikes Leeds..

Mark,

Don't you find Jordan's in Leeds a tad on the expensive side?

They are, but they have guys who know their way around Aprilias, plus they're local for me..Service the next biggy..£350 at Jordan with no courtesy bike £390 Cobb & Jagger with a courtesy bike..But may wait till after winter, depends if we have an Indian summer in which case I'll probably have it done this year.

Afam or Tzubaki chains and afam sproks(nice and light)
Had 2 DID's snap in the past!
