Hi just picked up a 2011 T v4R APRC that was cat D and needs a few bits and a lot of TLC.

Already have a '07 T 2R and '04 gen 2 RSV Factory track bike so have accumulated a few spares over the years.

Does anyone know if the wheels are interchangeable - the T2R brembo wheels look a good match but the OZ wheels on the RSV seem to push the APRC rotor that bolts to the disc (I'm sure it has a name - wheel rotation sensor rotor perhaps?) out a bit on the rear.

The rear sprockets and carriers look identical - do the front match as well?

Already have rsv4 rear sets on the RSV so I know those can be swapped over (if I can do it without buggering up the quick shift) and the crash bungs seem pretty identical.

And anyone know where I can get a new side fairing?

Anything should be looking out for on a crashed T.

More stupid question to come I'm sure.

Cheers

Chris

Yes, wheels are interchangable (not sure about the spacers) but if its the front wheel from a gen 1 you need the 2.5mm spacers, discs, sprockets, sprocket carriers the same, lots of bolts too, but thats about it.

My bike is a crashed cat D was not many parts around when i first got it so went track bike route and never looked back.

You can buy most of the parts in carbon now cheaper than oem.

Front fairings are like rocking horse ****, seen 3-4 on ebay in 3 years.

Plenty of the rear sections about albeit not advertised as people go for rsv4 back ends.

If you are after any parts let me know have a fair few road spares knocking about.

Side fairings, again unless you buy new not many about, carbon alternative is cheaper. You could buy a cruciata race fairing which has the side fairings and run with out a front headlight or if you have the skills whack an endurace headlight in it.

If its had a front end smash, yoke stem could be bent, take to a frame straigners and get it all checked over.

Hi Dan,

Besides scuff on rh frame, LH tail unit, rh fairing, missing left fairing and broken rear wheel, bent brake pedal the rest looks o.k. no sign of impact on the front. Will check if the wheels line up today.

Hi Dan

I was split between keeping it on the road (replacing missing bits and frame protector to cover the frame scuff ) or sticking rsv4 race fairing on and using it as a track bike. Looks like the later might be the better option.

What have you done to yours to set it up as a track bike?

Cheers

Hi Dan,

I think I've had it easy - Lock stops look untouched, just swapped the wheels for some spare OZ ones I had for the RSV, replaced a couple of indicators, straightened out the brake pedal - washed it and sent it for a service.

Will hopefully have it back for the weekend and try it out at Lydden Track Day on Saturday.

Whats a decent starting point for the standard suspension set-up.

Will see how i get on at the weeked before deciding whether to get it to a state where I can sell it or keep it as a road/track bike.

Cheers

Chris

Upgraded my suspension but the rear shock was not up to much on track so cant help, just put it back to standard set up from manual, good luck though :)
