whats 105db?

Just wanted to hear a couple of examples of exhausts you have that have been within the 105db @ 5000rpm trackday test.

Pretty sure that mine is gonna be too loud so thinking of getting another so I don't have to put the aprilia dustbin back on.

and will an exhaust that is ok for road use definitly be ok on the track?

What exhaust do you have? 105db is fooking loud, I have a akra 2-2 full system on my 2001 and it only tests at 99db.

Its an ART can, think its titanium and is only about 18 inches long, Looks a bit tatty so may be due a repack aswell.
Mates got a Tl which isn't much louder, and tested at over 110 on his friends db thingy. May turn out that mine is fine but would be gutted if I was turned away for noise restrictions. Been thinking of getting another exhaust anyway.

I got a Leo-Vince titanium can E marked. It has removable baffle, tested at Brands 103 baffle out, 99 baffle in :biggrin

Got a full system with 300mm stubbys on mine- passes no problems. In the open they are not that loud, its when in the garage or between houses they seem loud. I beleave the EVO system is loud, about 108db.

I may take you up on that been looking at a couple of different exhausts, need to figure out a budget. Can you get the racefit mega for an rsv, they don't list rsv's it on their website?

i was looking at a racefit mega 4 my rsv factory but they dont do them

i emailed the bloke and they said they could make 1 up but meant taking the bike up there and it wasnt goin to be cheap!! be warned though, Racefit cans r LOUD! had one on my gsxr600 and it tested 112db's @6000rpm!!!

sounded the bollocks though!

Am stuffed at a track day then because I have the shotgun Ti Evo cans on mine and they are loud but sound awesome. :inlove

Tash have you any more info on the GP stubby style exhaust that you are making? I got told that you were thing of making one?

£500 is probably gonna be out of my budget. Are there any cone type slip ons that are cheaper and within the 105. Cheers.

Hi mate,

Done 4 or 5 UK trackdays with a Yoshi no buffle. 102 or 103db depending on the day.
