What would you do?

I sold my 99 RSV so I could buy my current 01 RSVR.

Its in need of a paint, I knew this when I brought it, well I have done lots of quotes and the design I like it way to pricy.

Ok, whats in the R, I know Oz wheels etc but really when riding a rsv compared to a RSVR on the road, will I notice a diffence?

Maybe if I sell my R I can buy a nice none R version without wanting to paint it? what do you think?:devious

Sounds like a plan bud. I've had a go on both and as i'm no motogp class rider, i could never tell the difference. Get it advertised and see what happens?

Paul, the only R I've ridden is Griff's. I preferred mine - and he did too!
I wouldn't swap my Showas but I've got me lovely Ohlins on the rear - perfect compromise.
Any way you slice it, it's going to cost you money to swap for an R. Why not just spend the cash and get it painted - then you'll have something unique that's all yours.

nowt wrong with the showas if they are set up right and the ohlins are mass produced lower end gear anyway..... entirely up to you , but maybe a case of better the devil you know? why not get it painted give it a try and then make your mind up , a repaired bike is surely worth more than a damaged one?

If you're planning on a non-standard paint job, your bike's gonna end up being worth less than a standard mille anyway. Don't know what state your bike's in, but I'd be tempted to get the paintwork tidied up rather than fully resprayed.

tis only the suspenders that are diff, and like others here, I kept the showas and changed the back to Ohlins(which is deffo better than the ******, heavy sachs)

Cool some good comments guys thanks. Haven't been able to ride my R well yet. My old RSV rode well I just liked the 01 shape so when I got offered my R one I had to take it. Now looking at get it tidied up I now know its going to cost me most than I allow to spend or afford

I dont know, see how it goes, never happy me :lol

What would you do?
