I went for the Racetechs and yes they are brutally grippy in the dry. Ive not ben out in the wet but surely that cant be as bat as the D207's I had on the Ninja, Dunlop ditchfinders lol. I think the front is a K1 and the rear K2, im assuming that denotes what the compound is?

Thanks for the help

Good tyre for the track, bad for the road, for the street Metzeler has M3.

i've been using Racetec's treaded on the road for a while now.. fantastic, don't use em in the wet, but wear pretty quickly, I use racetec slicks on the track normally, awesome. I have used Racetec wets too, round Donnington, with standing water everywhere, unbelieveable, knee down action....
The best tyre all round tyre i've used in recent years are Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3's, great wear, great in wet or dry conditions and heat up really quickly.
I guess the new Pirelli Rosso tyre will be as good.
Hope this helps

BTW if anyone needs some summer/track tyres, i have a mate who gets scrubbies, normally done less than 10 laps. racetecs, supercorsa pro's treaded, slicks and wets. very cheap and he always picks the best for me.
he sells on ebay as trackdaytyres, but if you come through me, you'll get em cheaper and get the best ones he has.

I've just got a Mille with new Pilot Sports fitted,I had them as standard on the SV1000s and they were scary ( the only thing was the OEM's were a harder wearing compound than the ones you could buy) so I'm a bit worried,am thinking about swapping them for Diablo Rosso's.

I agree with apriliamoto, the Dunlop D207's were crap. But the D209 Qualifier RR's are a great tyre,as was the D208 RR's. The Pilot Sports are not good alright and very old technology now. I recommend the Qualifer RR for good handling and grip and the Dunlop Road Smart as the best tyre that I have ever used in the wet, and I am sure you have a lot of wet over there!
