have ordered a rsvr bol d`or.. now can either have it next weekend on a 57 plate or wait til march 1st on a 08 plate wot should i do just found out bout 10 min ago so rather dithering at the mo in a deep quandry

Would strongly suggest awaiting new 08 plate...will undoubtably have an impact when you do trade in (for a newer 'Prilia!)
By the way.....'Up the Toon' ( well perhaps if we can start winning games)!!!!!!

:stupid I'd wait too, if your not going to use it much between now and March anyway, then your better off with a brand spanking one...re-sale values etc

just thought, would they knock **** loads of pennies off if you got it now :dunno they want to offload old models before the new plate starts so might be desparate to sell the 57 plates :dunno

just to add a note. when i bought my old ZX9R 6 years ago, bought it on a late plate, should have been a y reg waited for 51 plate. when trading in during the last week, only made £100 diference. if you can get a good deal for having it on a 57 you may be quids in.:thumbup

Hate to add to your confusion but my thoughts are sprocker has a good point, will you get a bit of discount? Secondly, since the change to plate numbering happening twice a year it doesn't seem to make that much difference really to the resale, as vouched for above. It's just something for dealers to bring up because we all remember the once a year saga.

Read somewhere, maybe MCN, the other day that it's supposed to be a nice warm January, February and March this year........ but you could take that with a pinch of salt. Warm can also mean bleedin' wet!!

never thought much about the discount but it will be the same bike i.e if i pick it up next week they will stick 57 on it if i wait they will stick 08 on it so not a prob there... discout wise i think im gettin a cracker for the price ok so we could do with a bit more off but a dealer 2 mile from me wanted 9.2 g for the same bike thats y taz get my money cos they were 2.2 g cheaper but i have til monday to decide prob wait till march just for that 08 look lol :dunno

its a nitemare lol but cant wait either way

you say about not much more discount from taz. just ordered mine from taz and got a nice new set of akro titanium race cans thrown in for nothing. that seems like a massive extra discount to me. i will stick with the 57 plate and brand new pipes. :thumbup

yep already got that deal mate the bikes ordered and will be there for me to pick up next weekend if i want like i say it will b the same bike either on 57 or 08 and im very very very dithering about waiting cos id like to play now
