What 'projects' do you have ? have you done ?

I've not got any project bikes on this winter which is a bit of a shame for me, but you know how it is, finances sort of kill this plan off.

First one was a minor refurb job on a 916. Mostly only forks and brakes.

This time last year i moved onto a non-running GPX750R which too a long long time, needed pretty much anything and everything.

In summer i did a restore job on a gixer600SRAD which is pretty much done apart from needing new fork springs fitting but they are a bonus rather than a necessity.

All of the lads i know have some sort of unfinished project or another...

So what you got ? what have you done ? when will it be ready ?

Bought a1991 DR800 last Dec. £450 non runner from london. 4000miles on clock genuine. from this

to this

Got running stripped , re coated and painted ,bought some bodywork and a different exhaust . Stood me at around £8_900 sold for £1500.
This gave me money to spend on my DR750 so stripped , recoated etc and now sorting a front mudguard. from this

the one on the right. experiment 1

not right so ended up with this. I am about to change it again

and now without mudguard

I have a GSX600F t.pot to do as above.
It was my eldest and he wrecked it. He had no money and it would NEVER get fixed. I decided to do it and paybut decided I wanted it so we swopped bikes. I had a xs550 taxed and tested I bought to renovate and he owed me some ££ any way so we struck a deal.

Hmmm Projects...

Well, let's start with fixing the crash damaged 08 Tuono.

Fixing my K6 GSXR1000 with a broken frame.

Fixing my crash damaged 07 EX500 Ninja.

Either fixing or parting out a 89 ZX7....not sure yet.

Trying to get my TL1000R race bike track ready.

I don't think I will ever get around to it but my Busa needs paint too.

Parting out 03 GSXR1000, 04 CBR1000RR & TL1000R

Then there are a million jobs around the house. :crazy

That lot will keep me busy over the winter. :banghead

the myford as yer can see needs a lil restoration, but the small lathe and milling machine are all fine, this weekend is mainly bench building time.

this is the big piller drill, needs a clean, but sound, the 3 cases are just crammed full of attachments and tools.

enough to keep me busy for a few years i think......

if we pool our knowledge we could maybe make a poker ?


if the truth be known pal i aint sure what i,ll do with it all, just aim to get it set up on one side of garage, i hope to build a small anodising unit on the other side.

Need to fix the crash damage on Andiamo, still trying to get someone to weld up the ******* shock mount on the TLS, the Z1-R needs a ground up, and the shovel SHOULD go back together... but as you all know, funds are tight everywhere...

Not long ago finished putting T back together after Silverstone highside.
and now getting ready for engine bay and boot respray on mk1 escort mexico.

Two toys ready to rumble again next year.
