Ok so since my last post i have re chipped the ecu and changed the gearing. Ditched the ****** bridgestone tyres after 2 front end slides and fitted maxxis supermaxx sports. Now the ***** hussles and wheelies off the throttle with ease.
Been to Belgium for 3 days fully loadedand road trips in the U.K to Lulworth cove, Durdledoor and Charmouth. Bodiam castle and took the steam train to Tenterden. We went to old Wardour castle, Stonehenge and Avebury. And of course the odd evening blast.
The bike hasn't missed a beat, sure the gearbox is a pig when the engine oil isn't up to temperature and even though i have done the clutch jet mod neutral is still abit of a ****, the bike keeps going more willing and more eager with every ride.
Despite the fact we didn't gel when we first met we are now. Particularly after ditching those ******* tyres, i honestly thought we were going to part company that day how i found the strenth and flexibility to pick it up as the front was struggling for grip i"ll never know. Confidence dented badly and we hated one another for a while.
It cleans up well and the finish is better than my old hayabusa.
My biggest grip is spending 87 quid on a sports rack which when i unwrap it says maximum weight 2.5kg.....******* tent weighs 4.5kg!!!!
So i can put a packet of sandwiches and a waterproof on it.....ridiculous just ridiculous. Oh well i"ll take some jubilee clips.
So in all about 2000 miles covered and next we are heading to the south of France in 2 weeks. Fully loaded and 2 up.
I have taken out breakdown cover but don't expect to use it.
