Ok so since my last post i have re chipped the ecu and changed the gearing. Ditched the ****** bridgestone tyres after 2 front end slides and fitted maxxis supermaxx sports. Now the ***** hussles and wheelies off the throttle with ease.

Been to Belgium for 3 days fully loadedand road trips in the U.K to Lulworth cove, Durdledoor and Charmouth. Bodiam castle and took the steam train to Tenterden. We went to old Wardour castle, Stonehenge and Avebury. And of course the odd evening blast.
The bike hasn't missed a beat, sure the gearbox is a pig when the engine oil isn't up to temperature and even though i have done the clutch jet mod neutral is still abit of a ****, the bike keeps going more willing and more eager with every ride.

Despite the fact we didn't gel when we first met we are now. Particularly after ditching those ******* tyres, i honestly thought we were going to part company that day how i found the strenth and flexibility to pick it up as the front was struggling for grip i"ll never know. Confidence dented badly and we hated one another for a while.
It cleans up well and the finish is better than my old hayabusa.
My biggest grip is spending 87 quid on a sports rack which when i unwrap it says maximum weight 2.5kg.....******* tent weighs 4.5kg!!!!
So i can put a packet of sandwiches and a waterproof on it.....ridiculous just ridiculous. Oh well i"ll take some jubilee clips.
So in all about 2000 miles covered and next we are heading to the south of France in 2 weeks. Fully loaded and 2 up.
I have taken out breakdown cover but don't expect to use it.

Nice to hear a wee progress report mucker. Dunno aboot the tyres, all I can say is that if yer confident wae whits under yer then yer happy.

As fir the rack yer got nae excuses, plenty of threads and posts aboot luggage (nae criticism).

Enjoy yer EuroJaunt and post up another Report wae loads of PICS.

Stay safe mucker. :thumbup

Good effort, like Aldo, I dunno about the tyres either, not my choice but go with it and have fun.:thumbup

Good write up Fm, so far in two years and 7500 miles I have only had to fix the clutch slave seal and brake switch. Had worse on Yamaha's. Like everyone else not sure of the tyres they must be better than the diamonds which have been *****

Fe the tyre i had 3 sets on the old busa and did several trackdays as well as honing and touring never ever had a problem with them. Take a wee while to warm up but hey what doesn't?
The maxxis supermaxx sports are used by the tt marshalls too. But like you say if it gives you confidence then go with it.
