Hey chaps..

My 03' tuono are having some personal problems with the electronics..
dunno if this is a common issue, but it goes like this:

When startin' off from a red light, it some times makes a "misfire". It only happens during the low rpm (1500 - 2000), it sounds just like a shortcurcuit and just 1 shortcurcuit appears. It has effect on the motor, since it makes a "break" in the revolutions..

it also appears when rolling the throttle a few degres rapidly..

it has become more and more often during the last months.

Personally i suspect some loose wire or a defect relay: could this be it??

i looking forward for some respons, thanks anyway, im all ears..

well i didnt think misfires were usually due to electrical issues but i'm not certain of that so here is a few things i suggest checking...

spark plugs
spark plug leads (coils i think they are called)
throttle body synchronization (i guess a dealer would have to do that)?

when was the last time it was serviced?

Also check the idling speed is correct
do you use the choke lever?

hunt around for electrical connectors which dont look too healthy, check the battery is in good condition and the circuit is correctly grounded

hey wolf(ie):devious
think i'm a return when all is checked... more suggestions are welcome

done 42.000 km
serviced at 40.000

hey there :thumbup

have you made any performance alterations recently?
fitted a new exhaust... modified the airbox... added a "performance" chip..
all those things can make a bike have the wrong fuel/air mixture which results in the engine running poorly and can cause misfires

however i could be wrong :confused

my bike misfired at a set of lights soemtime last month... felt horrible and sounded worse :dowhat rode home very carefully and checked everything, the spark plugs were not tightened correctly and since i gave them a little clean and fitted them better i havent had any issues, but it may have been unrelated

Hey wolfie its derestricted, but that along time ago, well it might have been the plugs, cause one of them were a little loose..

mixture... yes could be a problem ,but i checked the bodies, and the are sync.

so, ill return when later - if it occours again..

thanks anyway
