What engine noises do YOU hear ?

Hi Guys

You are all probably fed up with me and my engine noise questions but let me ask this another way.

What significant engine noises do you hear when you ride YOUR bike?

When hot mine has a regular tap tap tap at tick over which seems to turn into a warbling type noise at higher revs then just gets lost in the general engine noise

On the overrun at 5k and less the tap tap tap sounds more like a nut being shaken in a can.

When i dont wear ear plugs my engine noises are quite prominent even though I have a CCC exhaust can

Get yourself down to Squires this wednesday night stuuk and i'll have a listen/compare with mine etc :thumbup i might not be able to tell you if its got owt wrong with it, but at least you can compare it with another mille and if yours is particularly noisy then i'll just rev mine a little and that'll drown out any noise within 5 miles :biggrin
 
you guys have to stop, just ride the damn thing, you'll end up driving yourselves MAD!

unless theres a loss in power I dont care what I hear (check the oil level by the way, mine was quite low today) :S gave it an oil + filter change for good measure ;)

Mine taps when it's under 5K RPM but to be honest it doesn't spend much time under 5K RPM. :biggrin

These Rotax engines are pretty bullet proof mechanically speaking, wouldn't worry too much.

hi guys i have a 2004 rsv1000 mile the bikes motor had its usual sounds but went away as soon as 2000rpm it went in for a service and noticed the bike had a clicking vibrating kinda noise which goes on untile about 7500 rpm the dealer did something wrong or am i just paranoid but after the service it started making the clicking sound on ilde and it sounds verry rumbally at 3500 rpm when u hold it their can it be the oil is to thin im so worried can anyone advise me please i would really be grate full
 
The noise seems to be getting worse the more i drive it im fed up with this bike feel like throwing it in the dump
