Currently running my 03 RSV on a pair of Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3s. The rear is nearing the end of it's life but the front has plenty of 'meat' on it, very rare she is involved with any aquatic adventures, is it worth trying to hunt down a Corsa 3 rear, put something else on (mismatched pair, shudder) or change both.

Apart from being ugly is there a problem with a mismatched pair, if not what do you recommend?

If change both what do you recommend?

It's mostly personal preference although I would put matching pairs on!
You don't want a massive difference between the two so I would look for another Pirelli, I've always had bridgestones and lived them bt016s at the mo which are old tech but suit the nicely as it's an old bike!

Having said that, they are about to expire and I've got a set of conti sport attack 2s waiting in the garage which I've heard good things about , even maxxis are well rated now days, my contis cost £160 pair so quite good!

You should be able to get another Diablo for £90-110 I would think

Ultimately it's upto you although personally stick with matching pairs at least

Good luck

Go for a pair if funds allow. God road smart 2 on at the moment and very very good. Never been a Dunlop fan before but these are good in the British variable climate. Also had conti road attack and liked them. I have seen people do track days on this "road" rubber and they stand up well. Can take more than most people can throw on the road. Mine are always over o the edge and never a hint of slip

Just finished running Avon 3D X-M (xtra - mileage) which lasted really well (approx 4500 miles), good in all conditions, slowed the steering when new, but that got better after a few miles, wore the front out first!. Just swapped them for a pair of Avon 3D ultra's, which (I think) are amazing (maybe because I'm coming from a touring tyre), but I don't think they are going to last long, but were cheap at £216 for a pair.

Only ride on road. This is all personal opinion and depends what you want.

I've only had Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIs but I have to say I haven't had any wobbles yet :D
