What chip is this?

Hi folks removed my ECU to get a look at the chip prior to ordering a DrRossi one to suit my exhaust and my impending Hooked air box. What chip is this that is fitted? Is it the standard one? what is all the black ****? The seal had already been broken cheers.

Thats a year 2000 Eprom A63.
It should have an RP58.

My bike is actually a 2000 just late registered in 2001. So i guess this is the right chip? what is all the black ****?

black **** is to stop people pulling the chip outta ecu

you can get round it thou to change it

I would think that the chip as been replaced at some time,then had the original put back,and what a pigs ear they made of it,
