Just be aware,if you go for the Tsubaki chain, they dont have the 'soft' joining link,so you will need the percussion chain riviter.(£90ish)The rivit can be peened over with a hammer and punch, but its not the best.

Hi Keith B and Koko thanks for the info but ive allready ordered it all today before i seen these latest posts. I bought the Afam recommended x ring chain and hard anodised standard tooth rear with -1 tooth on the front. Just hope ive done the right thing.

You can always change the rear sprocket later, 16/44 really does suit the Tuoldo on the road.

Bats, ffs did I get somethin right? Tell me the chain fir the tuoldo is a 520.

err its not a 520 dude sorry....

16 44 is the bollocks on these bikes, 15 44 koko!! fcuking looney!! hehe!!!!

i always recommed DID chains..... yep there expensive but in 21 years of being in this business ive never seen one break.....works for me!

I used the did x.ring gold chain and steel sprocs, work fine, don't get too hung up on makes thery are all mostly good, just comes down tart factor, super sprox are just expensive, had rentals originally and they were fine managed nearly 12k before they were changed, if the -1 tooth doesn't work, change it, only about 15 quid to replace

Thanks Alanr and everybody for the info much appreciated. Ive had the afam stuff fitted today and all seams fine. I cant really tell if its altered the gearing that much as the weather was too bad today to really test it. it did seem more settled at lower revs around town though.

Don't I effin know it r, someone once described me very aptly as a dimwhit whose ongoing work should secure an easy passage to the next level. Needless to say I strived to achieve. Despite the setbacks of self employment, marriage, mortgage, children, coaching and dozens of other things like everyone else. I think I've managed to illustrate my resolve to overcome these distractions. As I post in front of you and I'm sure that you'll all agree that I've reached that elusive level.
If yer can tolerate me yer can tolerate anyone.
