Wet weather hooning

Well, that's weird.. went back to edit out the word "despite" because i've typed it twice but it isn't there in the edit screen...

Looks like you had a blast. :thumbup
That Hartside I see? One of my local brew stops when on the bike.

Yep, that's Hartside Cafe.. felt like the top of everest on Saturday. Brrr, fooking freezing. the ride up and down in the flowing rivers across the road was.. errr, interesting..:)

as long as yer have decent gear, wet weather can be a blast, dont do it anywhere near as i used to these days though, think my nerve may be going...

All but one, a serving police officer, had waterproofs, our bobby friend had just his leathers.. great bloke and good rider.

There was a whole spectrum of bikes on this hoon. Gen1 and Gen11 Tuono's, 750 Guzzi, R6, zx6r, gixer, susuki 1400 retro thingy and a street triple. Age of riders was low twenties to mid fifties. The riding was ecellent all day and in all conditions. Some of us cleared off for a bit of a thrash once it dried out and some of us were more confident in the wet but generally it was a great day out.:thumbup

BTW we did about 200 miles on Saturday, a couple of us clocked up 500 miles for the weekend and the three southern lads clocked between 900 and 1000 miles from Friday to Monday.

Top trip, that's 7700 miles for me in four outings,:crazy

Cheers

Good stuff Windy min....soonds like yer typical summer commute tae work in Ricoland....only difference is the rains 1 degree warmer in August! Ah actually enjoy the challenge o a good run oot in the pissin rain...teaches ye tae be real smooth an use the gearin an engine mair than the brakes.

I'm a bit of a soft **** when it comes to riding in the rain. If I get caught in it my lip comes out as I have to then clean the bloody thing.
Love Hartside abd those areas.

You should have come oan the FFII weekend grin, I spent a week cleaning and oiling the T afterwards. Oh and drying oot the non waterproofs:lol
