Welsh Rideout Sat 30th July

I'd possibly like to take this opportunity as a test rideout for the August meet. would be handy to get an idea of how long it takes & suitable coffee/lunch stop locations.
I propose that we leave mine by 11.30am
If it's not practical for Stix to get to mine by 11.30 then I'll reconsider a differant route not a problem. I can do a test ride at anytime on my own just thought it might be handy if a couple of others knew the route. however I see that other than ****** there are a few other tuowners quite close who I should imagine are familiar with the local roads anyway.

Thought might go from llansantffraid, llanfyllin, Bala, Trawsfynydd, Bethgelert, (or Porthmadog, Caernarfon, Llanberris. A load of T's going through Llanberris pass should make quite a rumble.) Capel curig Bettws, Llanwrst, Denbigh, Coffee at A&D's. Llyn Brennin, Cerregydrudion, Corwen, Bala Lunch, Back to Llansantffraid. Homeward bounds. I reckon that'll be about 200miles.

Like I say if it's a problem for anybody we can take a differant more Southerly, route that will be equally enjoyable taking in. Dinas Mawddy, Cadair Idris, Aberdyfi, Aberyswtwyth, llangurig.
 
hi tricky i live i caernafon so i will meet you somewhere on route if you give me a rough time
better still if your doin a recy call in to go over the route i been scatching round here for 35 years
 
Waiting to hear what stix can do. I'll probably give it whirl this weekend anyway.
 
Been thinking about this. It is a bit far for me"š so thinking of maybe staying over either Friday night or Sat night - not sure which one would be best?

As i'm moving house (as her indoors wants to) I have a whole heap of brownie points to spend :)

Just asked the boss and she is fine either night.

Hmm thinking about it probably better off staying Sat night"š and that way can have loads of beers and head back whenever Sunday.

Book me a cheap room Saturday Tricky!

Just means me leaving early to get there for Sat morning - how about 12 instead of 11:30 and that way I reckon if I leave @ 9 be there for 12 no problem?
 
Might be better if U can do the Friday night if pos as I'll have to work when I get back Sat night & wouldn't want to fobb you off with a load of old Mond Locals unless, Newelly or anybody else wanted to stay & get pissed with you whilst I worked.

I don't mind who I get pissed with‚ but yes it would be best to vaguely know someone else! Anyone else out there who fancies staying in Tricky's place Sat night & getting pissed with a South Walian pisshead? I'm actually quite a nice bloke really :thumbup
 
Ashcorner may like to stay as he's coming from Leicestershire somewhere. He said he may be up for it.
I can always leave you in the hands of Daffydd Thomas for a few hours. I normally finish in the kitchen around about 9.00ish then get pissed on cider.
 
Yeah you can leave me with anyone I'm an easygoing bloke. Don't leave me with someone who doesn't drink though - you can't trust bloody teetotallers ;)
 
I will have a word with the governor about staying over.
And just for the record I come from Newport, but have a Brummie accent.:thumbdown
I would think it would be OK, but will confirm shortly.

Sorry Stix, I meant I was born there, I live Near Ashby de la Zouch, not far from Pinney, so I will meet up at Tricky's.
I might tag along with Newelly part of the way, (if he's going that is and wouldn't mind) as I would ride across that way.
Just got the OK to stop over on the Saturday, so will need a bed, paracetamol, enough judgement to know when to stop, etc.

Oh and for stopping drinking I don't until it's too late normally :)
 
We don't normally close untill the last man fooks off not normally b4 1.00ish on a Saturday. have never called last orders.:cheers
 
Was thinking abpout a spin this Saturday if your about at all. was going to contact ****** to see if he was up to anything. might leave it untill Sunday as the schools have just broken up & Saturday is change over day. Roads will be full of Awd Monners.
 
No I can't do this weekend as in London from thu to sat & I'll be ****** sun after that. Think bay might be tho?
