tell you what mate the gp 125s where lapping donnington same times as shakey and co at 1.38s gives you an idea of how fast redding and the 125s are

he is 15 on rode in 8 gps won his 8th never raced donnington only on a 80 metrakit .....took rossi 11 for his first win

Least one brit did ok unlike the useless git James Toseland......Perhaps he should stop twatting about on that crappy keyboard and put more effort into his riding..........:biggrin

sorry mate cant call to52land a useless git 2 times wsbk champion 4. 6ths in only 8 races.and the weather typical british weathr and luck cmon how much bad luck do english sportsmen have .....hes done the best on a gp bike than anyother british rider ....oh and thats against the best in the world sure you would like to be 1% as good

James had crap luck all weekend:eatcorn. Bugger could not stay on that thing ffs. Starting that far back on the grid in front of a home crowd was probs what caused him to blow it so early. My buddy had £60 on vermeulen to win (hoping for the rain)!!!!! Nice wheelie by stoner at the finish tho!:devious

I was lucky and went to watch the MotoGP for the first time in years, the atmosphere was bloody marvellous when Scott Redding was in second place, obsolutely amazing when he took first place and then won!!

Watched the 250 race on the television last night and it looked quite a nice day on the tele. The wind was bloody howling all day though. I don't think I'd have wanted to ride my RSV in that wind, never mind a spindly 125 with a 6 stone rider - what a great job Scott did!!

Bloody shame about the morons who invaded the track BEFORE the MotoGP had completely finished, miracle someone wasn't hurt. Then there was the minority of twats that made me ashamed to be English who booed and gave tosser signs to Stoner! There's always one, or more in this case. Still, that aside it was a great day out.

By the way Big Un, the form when posting about race results is to put **SPOILER** in the title with no hint of results so that anyone that has recorded the race doesn't get to see the result accidently. Amazed me one of the more 'vociferous' users hasn't had a rant!! I knew the results so no problem here mate :cheers

couldn't agree more what a ride i was there to see a bit of history in the making a brit wining a gp on home ground for the first in 22 years:doug sat right on craners to see the burn out:thumbup

I went to Donnington to see JT get on the podium, (and hopefully see Bradley win) & I really believed JT had (admittedly an outside) chance – let’s not forget he was up against Rossi, Stoner & Pedrosa in brilliant form, and Edwards Dovizioso & Lorenzo in pretty aggressive form too (bloody lucky Lorenzo is still poorly, the man’s a real fighter).
Like everyone else I was gutted when JT didn’t come by Craner Curves & the Old hairpin with the pack. BUT, I completely admire his tenacity and totally sportsmanlike attitude to complete what must have been a really humiliating race for him. I mean, the guy was nearly lapped by Melandri, and we all know that JT has completely outclassed the poor luckless Melandri in every other race this year. The fact that he continued to complete the race with half the bloody controls missing, and in pain deserves our support. To be honest, I don’t care if he comes 10th in every other race this year, as I know he will do his utmost every time. I feel proud to be supporting such a brilliant sportsman, in a sport I love, and am constantly telling non bike fans to watch this guy. If our footballers had half his dedication and application they’d be in the Euro kickabout that’s for sure.
JT will continue to make us proud of his efforts I’m sure, and one day we will see him up there on the podium.
As for Scott…………………..well, the guy certainly gave us summat to shout about – what a class ride, and from a guy that was secretly hoping for a top 5 at absolute best!!!! Just a shame he pushed the fella in front so much that we were cheated out of a joyous overtake at the Old hairpin…………..:biggrin

Well done Scott !!! :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup

By the way, just what do racers have to do to get a mention on the news - first time in 22 years we have a world class win, youngest EVER rider to win, did it quicker than Rossi too..................bloody nora, if that ain't enough to be top of the sport news I don't know what is. Oh yes, being a crap tennis payer or very average football team, sorry, I forgot :nana

hhere here rene could not have said it better myself jt is a superb racer and you have got to think of the luck that blights us in everything. yeah scott not even on local news.but wombeldon will be on every kin bbc channel there is maybe if the gp was held around london ie trafalgar and fleet street maybe then we might see it on tv live i know it was on eruosport but didnt even have it on bbci no no no euro kicking a bag of wind about was on who cares

Again brilliantly put Rene, i too was gutted to see JT lose it at the first corner, however his resolve and sheer will to at least give it another go with a damaged bike and damage to himself was nothing short of heroic. He should be applauded not ridiculed.

We have a star in the making in Scott Reading, he was awsomely good to win his first MotoGP 125 race. Give him a year or 2 and a full works bike and we may have something very special to watch

I sat in the infield at Craner, and I fully agree Rene, Mr Toseland did himself proud in showing his tenacity throughout the weekend to continue whatever the odds, and for that, he certainly should be applauded, as indeed he was each time he came through Craner for the best part of the entire race by our section of the crowd. I'm not the greatest Toseland fan, but respect is due to the man :thumbup

Scott, what a star, and it was a brilliantly ridden race in every way. I sincerely hope he now has a good run of luck to complement his ability and we see a high profile well structured team take him into the fold and let him shine. Now lets see, what factory have a plan to return to MotoGP in 2010/11 and strong sales in the UK and Europe..........if of course Aprilia were to keep him in house :devious :thumbup :doug

poor luckless Melandri

Here is where I strongly disagree, and having watched him all weekend, i'm going to open a can of worms........to all intensive purposes Marco simply isn't trying. He was smooth as hell, was running a gear lower through Craner than the rest, had the bike fully leant over through the Old Hairpin visibly more so than some of the other riders and was carrying corner speed 250 style when it suited him, and I really think he is simply riding at 3/4's of his ability. Stoner is good, but his isn't a whole lap better than Melandri, and lets face it, given 2 more laps, Stoner would of lapped him.

Whether this is because he is frightened of the bike biting him and hurting himself or simply because he is as pissed with Ducati as they are with him, who knows. Ducati made it public, so it appears to me Marco is making it public by showing them up on the track. Put simply, Marco has an abundance of ability, we all know he can ride, the statistics over the years don't lie, but if he was trying, and I mean really trying, and the Ducati is as much of an untamed beast that he can't set up as has been suggested, then the bloody thing would be shooting him off and over at least once every GP. Every rider crashes at some point, Rossi isn't faultless, or Stoner, or any of them, and nigh on everyone in the wet on Saturday had the bikes moving around and "moments", except Marco.

I think he is trying to ride himself out of the contract.......:roll

Yes well done Scott Redding nice to see a British rider win a race at a GP meeting and as far as JT goes i think he was just trying a little bit to hard he went into redgate completely bonsai when he could have got settled and picked the lads of in front one by one watched him crash twice at the end of qualifying on saturday and the second crash WOW that looked nasty...
