Wales forum meet 7th April 2012

Sent you a txt Mick.

I don't mind Sunday either, just can't be too late.

If you don't get too nailed on Saturday night and can do quite early Sunday then shouldn't be too late the Aber run isn't that long & would drop the other lads off back at Crossgates.

Suggestion & get back to me tonight b4 I turn off the PC. Do you think you could manage West end cafe at llandovery by 11.30am Sunday??

(Don't tell me you don't know where that is.)

That would be a good start to getting peeps home in time for Easter Bunnies, Chocco eggs & Moto GP.

Yes I think so. I suppose leaving about 10:30 should be ok.

If I stick to just beer anyway.....! You know me I'm always riding with a hangover, but a milder hangover is normally preferable.

Lets see what the other fellas think?

Now I'm not superstitious or religious but tell me if this sounds like somebody trying to put me off ...

In the last week or so.

Clutch slave gives up
Clock screen cracks for no apparent reason

Opened garage door this morning to test rig my Ventura pack ... and take bike to Griffs ... what do I find?

Front OS indicator lens lying on the floor ... broken (how the ****?)
Back tyre flat ...

Spent the morning running about trying to get a tyre ... only one I can get locally is a Mezzy M3 (no idea what they are like)

Bike was due at Griffs for 1000hrs this AM ... but as of 1320hrs bike still on Abba stand looking forlorn and with a poorly eye ... no call from tyre place to collect wheel.

FFS ... what else can go wrong????

Flaming eck pete that's odd. How come a flat tyre mate. U been out recently. As for indicator sounds like someones bumped it and not owned up.

I've been out today spending money
Knox contour back protector
Oxford clear protection film
Some wind proof inner gloves
Waist pack as fed up of jamming keys etc in my pockets
Some knee pads
Balaclava (helmet liner doesn't come out so can't wash it)

All sorted for weekend now

had a **** day so far lads, not yet lefty for llanelli. Trailer tyre puinctured & couldn't get a replacement have ended up hiring a van ythat needs to be back Saturday Afternoon. At least I won't have to worry abourt moving my mattress & furniture in the rain. Anyway Saturday afternoon is definately out of the equation now.

plans for Sunday still good. Have got some contact numbers so don't have to rely on forum for messaging you all but will probably have a tomorrow morning.

Balaclava! It's not that bloody cold.

Oh yes it is that cold! ( but then again I'm an old grump)
But I wear one for the same reason that Bay said, crappy helmet inner. (or rather, prevent it getting crappy)

:yes

Did you manage to get sorted ?

That's the reason exactly ash. Is a very thin one but just means lining will stay clean.

Film = nope
Wind proof inner gloves = nope ... I have Motrax inner gloves which are made of something specifically designed to let wind in and heat out
(do they also do windproof jimjams? I'm worried I might upset ****** Sat night!)
Waist pack = Yes! Just bought an Oxford visor waist pack thingy off e-bay for £9.45 ... lovely
Knee pads = nope.
Balaclave = I've got one somewhere. Now where did I put it?

All hail Griff!

Tyre repaired. There was a black thorn in it ... looked like a brass picture nail ... but was a thorn

Indicator lens stuck back on with sealant

And the best bit ... Griff stayed open late and waited for me despite having to drive to Brands tonight. He changed slave seal which was totally fecked.

What a ****** superb guy he is folks.

Sooooo

I'm fully fettled!!!

Bloody marvellous news. Good to catch up on the weekend. Just sorting out all my microfleece and windstopper stuff ready for Saturday morning. Best be safe than sorry.

Have to start adding mobile numbers now.

Mike have you contacted gilo yet. Perhaps you could contact the lady at the black lion and have micks bed. Just an idea!

Everyone leaving their bikes in my garage overnight or at the digs

El L - drop us an e-mail and you can ride over with me. Windymiller may be joining us as well, though not for the night time shenanigans.

I won't be riding on Sunday (other than home...) as need to get home after brekkie to spend time with the family.

Looking forward to Saturday :thumbup

Well last Sunday summer gloves, leathers were fine but my under armour top needed a fleece as well to be warm enough.

Looks like weekend will be warmer? A bit anyway.

Did wear winter gloves on way home but apart from that should be fine.
