lookin through todays motorcyclenews and they had a 2 page spread of the top 10 handling nakeds... right then lets have a look.... where does the tuono come in the top ten....
1st?:no... no, not 1st, its the superduke:dunno
2nd?:no... no, ktm again, the sm:crazy
looking down the list of fazers(ground clearence anyone?) cb1300(wtf)? etc where was the mighty tuono....... not ******* listed!!!!:banghead
i cant believe it were not in 1st spot never mind out of the top 10.... i feel sad and betrayed and may never read the mcn again.. *******s:bawling

I suspect the order has more to do with advertising revenue than actual cornering ability. :dunno

TBH Tuono's are often slagged off by road testers because they don't adjust the suspension, which is set up for an Italian midget riding around a billiard table. They (rightly) say it's harsh/skittish etc. once set up properly the bikes are superb through the twisties. To be fair I wouldn't expect it to top the table - it is 12+ year old design now, but it is much better than most of the Japanese nakeds I have ridden.

I reckon a Dorsoduro is probably the best handling I've ridden in the last couple of years. (Within it's speed range) it was certainly the most fun of all the loaners I've had whilst my Tuoldo was being serviced.

....or do the 15/42-43 sprocket swap...

I've never seen a T road tested, in ANY mag with the "correct" gearing....to do so is like running a Ferarri on cheap low octane petrol...

Pal of mine has a KTM and chucks it around with gay abandon.
I had a Fazer 1000 a fw yrs ago, handled okay, but not as well as the T
I'm anazed the cb13 is placed.

A couple of years ago I was chatting to a guy who was at a Cadwell trackday on a CB1300, his mate was on the big yamaha xj1400? can't remember exactly which.

During one afternoon session I lapped the Honda, he was trailing the pegs all the way around Charlies as I rode around the outside of him.

He used it for commuting - what a tank. :dunno

Sales and sales Gents = statistics. That's why the readers of MCN know nothing of the T. Maybe more dealers in the UK, more promotions etc may just raise the profile.

One of my Blue Knights colleagues asked what I rode and all he could say was "They are supposed to be a real beast" Obviously heard something but has never ridden.

Superbike magazine did a comparison between the Tuono, the Superduke and the Streetfighter on October.
I can post the article here, but I don't know if it's against the forum rules... ?
