On the hunt for the next set of pads.
(this is for fast road and track in advanced group)

Been doing alot of googling and my options i`m considering are..

Carrbone lorraine sbk5

SBS street excel (found these online for £35quid!! really???)

Vesrah RJH / SRJH

Really liking the sound of the Vesrahs, but never even heard of them before??? :dunno

Brembos too pricey as they didnt blow me away on the R6, find ebcs abit wooden, Galfer 1375 sound awesome, but similar price to brembos (ie £100!!)....

I`m looking for a strong initial bite with nice progressive power for trail braking...
Experience, suggestions and thoughts welcome :eatcorn

Also finally found some vesrahs on amazon (uk suppliers seem to be like rocking horse poop, and the vesrah website is shockingly bad)

But have my doubts there are the correct ones, pretty sure my 02 would have 4pad calipers, yet surely all the other bikes listed dont???
Anyone???? :dunno

never heard of them .... personally I'd stick to known brands tbh

I managed to get my brembo pads for 70 quid a few years ago from eBay

Dude !...Dont scrimp on your life savers !, putting unknown pads in is no different to riding around in flop flops, shorts and a t-shirt.

Go for the SBS Street Excel (Contact Tash on here) as I believe he sells them.
They a brilliant pad (far superior EBC) and get better the harder you work them. I put Bendix pads in to see what the difference was between them and SBS....baaaaaaaaad mistake !. I'll be putting SBS in, in the next couple of weeks .

I know id never heard of them either! And their website is shocking. But do a search, they have a massively good rep and seem to be the pad of choice for a lot of endurance racers (rjl pad) and racers (srjl) alike :/ I'm intrigued!
Iv found the street excels online for 35quid for the full set delivered mind!

Steve if you send me a link for the sbs pads I will see what I can do on the price.

I've used Vesrah RJL pads in the front of my 600 track bike and they are great. Different league to the crappy EBC HH pads and the like. Galfer 1375's ( from memory) were good too. Best pad I've used was on my motard race bike. Beringer pads that had to be slightly adjusted to fit the caliper and they only lasted a few races but my god they were great!!

Interesting discussion. I've always used EBC HH on every bike I've had and they have been nothing but brilliant on road and track. (probably best ever on the 4 pad brembos on the Mille even over 6 pot tokicos I had on a kwack). Might have to try something different next time.

Tash is the one to get them from like eiher way. Prices and service are excellent.
