V4 aprc shock in a v2 tuono

Hi all,
Does anyone know whether a Sachs shock fron a 2012 v4 APRC TUONO will bolt straight into a 2007 V2 TUONO 1000r and if so whether it would provide a noticeable improvement.
I wonderer if it was worth the bother or take my existing set up to MCT for a service and set up?
I mainly use my T for fast road and the odd track day.

the sachs shock on the V4 is too short mate, i looked into into it prior to fitting my Nitron race shock.

Thanks for the advice brookey, looks like it'll be a trip to MCT then...
Loving the forum.. Already blagged some carbon goodies for my T and spent hours trolling through the threads enjoying the banter and gleaning lots of info..
