Using a different oil

Here's another oil question.

Is it okay to put in a different grade oil than the one in now?

Just got a 2003 and the dealer says it has 10/40 in, but most you guys recommend 15/50. Can I just empty the old oil and put in a new? - of cource changing the filter as well.

Did I misunderstand this but doesn't the rsvs have seperate engine and gearbox oil?

It has only one oil for engine and gearbox.

Youll be fine if you change the oil and put the new one in. I think they even mix

, but just in case get all the old oil out, let it draining during the night.

If you want to be really sure use an "engine flush" type product 1st.
You may also want to take the oil tank off and drain/clean check the internal filter as well.
