Please don't hate me, it has to be done...
Hello everybody,
Yes you read that right my 2004 RSV Mille is the only bike I've ever bought and never ridden!
It's become a donor for a heart transplant!
Now nearing completion is possibly the most ridiculous little car any of you will ever have seen...
When completed this tiny little car with the heart from my RSV Mille will out accelerate most Ferraris and is half the size of a Smart car!
I've read such good things about the Mille that (come spring time) I'll most likely buy another one anyway.
If the rest of the bits of are of interest? I will be breaking all of the rest of the bike, minus the bits used for the heart transplant; engine/gearbox, ignition loom etc but that's about it, all the rest will be broken and sold as spares.
I thought that (having just joined the forum) I should post in here first to say hello, just hope that I've not ruffled to many feathers...
To those of you with still as yet unruffled feathers I would like to ask a couple of questions that I'm hoping some kind soul will be able to answer.
Does the RSV Mille have any kind of power restriction?
Of particular interest is electrical power restriction?
I ask this because after a conversation with a Hyabusa owner I was given to understand that the Hyabusa has a (factory) restriction that starves fuel in the first three gears (reducing power to 100hp) as a 'safety' feature.
Does the Mille have something similar?
If so, can this be overriden?
The ideal scenario (given the application); huge power, 360kg car, mid engined, RWD, LSD & very short wheelbase (approx. 1900mm) means that it with supersoft and sticky semi-slicks it might be capable of pulling power wheelies!!! However, whilst that might be good fun, it does give cause for concern regarding the growing number of friends and family who 'want a go' and do ideal scenario would be a way of controlling the power by means of a switch; full/half power for example would be ideal...
Can anybody shed any light as to how easy this might be to accomplish?
