Urgently needed! starter solenoid

Hi guys,

Well the starter solenoid gave up the ghost this morning. Another morning spent with the AA and late for work (well havent got in to work yet!)

Im trying to find a starter solenoid I would be able to buy and collect or get same day delivery on so I can get to work the rest of the week.

either a Aprilia one or the Yamaha one 4KD81940-00 not fussed at the moment.

ANy ideas. My local yamaha dealer say 4 working days

Dude... I have one. Its not technically a 'starter solenoid'

And the best thing is you have one too... and because the sun is shining I will give you the information you need...

!2mm allen key. No smaller. Because it will heat up and melt your gloves...:confused

But.... and I have a few witnesses on here, 12mm allen key. Short out the threaded studs that the bigger cables bolt to, its easy. I blew two solenoids and fired up my Mille for about two months like this EVERY day. And it really ***** up petrol stations too....:devious

No pictures sorry, the coathanger I used stuffed into my usb has cooked my camera...

Cheers fella, will get that a bash, The AA bloke today Used a screwdriver and and the booster pack on the starter motor to get me home. A lot fo sparks then as we were in a petrol station too

Ordered a Yammy one today and picking it up tomorrow for Trowbridge so should be sorted tomorrow.

The bike has to go now too which im best pleased with but atleast other people willl have the benefit of it starting
